When these kids grow up, what would they know about life? What would their feelings be? Would they know about love, kindness, caring? Or would it be hatred, anger and despise all they know?
With in the beautiful islands of the Maldives, child abuse has increased immensely. For several reasons perhaps! What ever the reasons are, what ever actions that are required to bring an end to this, it should be done right now, at this very moment.
It brings tears to the eyes, to see children beaten up, tortured and even murdered!

OMG I have heard stories from the time of my grandparents but it is very sad and disheartening that this exists in this day and time.
This can only be stopped if we address the root cause/s of the problem:
1. Maybe these parents are just plain ignorant. If so, we as a society are responsible to spead awareness about such matters and let these parents know that this is just wrong and stupid and the feed them the consequences of such behavior.
2. Maybe this woman is just evil and she enjoys beating up her kids. If so we need to pass regulations to stop this and give her the appropriate punishment.
3. This can be a result of poverty (Having too many kids with no financial backing). I can’t think of a specific solution other than the general ones.
A formal institution needs to take this matter and identify the causes and come up with some solutions. It’s good that such blogs exist to pressure these institutions.
we all must put our hands together to fight against this vicious crime…!!! how would they feel when they grew up, well sadly when i was small my mother also treated me just like that but at that time i was living in my grand father house so, he always stood against it, so mom used to do that when he was away… and all the time i kept wishing tat i never had a mom… tat was going on for a yea i could remember… then my dad returned after spending times at some islands, so their after he stayed, so after tat i didn’t had to go through any of such things, to tell you something honestly… i respect my friends more then i respect my mom, i know i should love her, but its hard with memories and i feel lucky i didn’t have to face it forever, but now i have complete control over what i do, i never listen to them, or even bother what they say i just do what i think what i should do….!!!

There is also the very real case of unwanted children / unwanted pregnancies.
A significant proportion of Maldivians get married and have children due to family and social pressure because we are taught that the (religious and worldly) purpose of this life is to procreate and leave our seed behind.
According to my experience, not all men/women like children around. So if they are pressured to have children and then bring them up, they will treat children as an “necessary nuisance” that are fated to live with.
There is of course a traditional view that beating children will discipline them.
But sometimes I do wonder: if we really love and enjoy the company of our children around us, wouldn’t we really form very close bonds, which will lead to a situation where our children will love us and behave according to the way we wish, and there would be no reason to beat them to get them disciplined?
Would like to get note that the the guy who have taken this video have to report to Police and the Human rights commission or the government whom is responsible…I believe the mother and the man who was bringing those three boys have to get justice…

this is not something id go OMG on, i ve seen this up front too many times. im glad this is here, atleast there will be people who will realize that this is also a form of abuse, YES THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO THINKS ( BELIEVES) THAT BEATING THEIR CHILDREN IS NOT ABUSE BUT RATHER A WAY TO DISCIPLINE THEM!!!
And in the end, these oppressed children will become the perfect killers. Unrelenting, vicious and displaying an absolute disregard for humanity.
And the first victim will be the accursed who bought them into the world.
