‘O man what has turned you away from your Lord Most Gracious’ (Holy Quran). Different people have different reasons for turning away from Islam, Allaah and His Messenger. The real question we need to ask ourselves is are we turning, returning, repenting to our Lord, or are we turning away. If we are turning away, then what are the reasons that motovate this behaviour, and try to change this condition.

I am not perfect, you are not perfect and yes, Shaheem and Dr. Majeed are not perfect religious models. We have not been ben sent as watchers or guardians over them. And it is not our role to categorise people to hypocrites fantics or extremists. Our more important role is to keep ourselves on the path of righteousness, and if we do stray, to keep returning to the right path until our hearts our firmly established on the truth.

we have the holy Quran and the Sunnah as beacons to show the truth.

The Prophet actually warned that during the Last Days before Judgment Day, these type of hypocrites (munaafigun) will surface. He had said that people who have learned Islam but twist everything so that it will sow discord and harmony among the Ummah and create hatred in the hearts of Muslims towards Islam will come. It is these kind of hypocrites that the Prophet was talking about. Hypocrites pretending to be Muslims so that they can, without anybody suspecting it, can destroy Islam and Muslims.
