He bends down, picked up a bundle of paper. He was crossing Athies Café’ when the pile of paper he was carrying fell down. On his face was the expression of dismay. Why? I thought. I didn’t see anything big happen there. It was an accidental drop and he picked, but why the dismay on his face?
Does a paper bleed? No, it can’t be blood. It wasn’t blood. It wasn’t on his hands; it was only on the paper that he picked from the ground. Dark red sticky substance with fine ground particles! No wonder the disappointment! The paper was ruined. It could have been a very important document. It could have been an urgent document. But it was ruined.
He walked away, on quick steps. The mid-aged man was still there. Expression less, as if nothing is happening around him. “Khaa Khaarrr” he went, and then “Puchuss”. Dark red sticky mucus, with fine ground pieces of nuts, fresh on the street. In front of almost every café’ or “hotaa”, is created a red carpet.
Another observer, whispered into my ears, “This will never stop!” without a thought I replied, “Every problem has a solution.” Yes, I believed in what I said. But when is a problem, a problem? Who sees spitting the red mucus saliva mixture on the streets as a problem? Me? You? Or perhaps not enough people to make it highlighted as a problem?
What needs to be done needs to be done before it is too late, or perhaps, is it too late even now? What actions will bring an end to this horrific scene? A paradise as a true paradise: that is my dream, what is yours?
