Impossible, but I will build 1400 flats, yah?

I love this president of ours, Mr.Gayyom! While his party, DRP, challenges that it would be impossible to build even a thousand flats per year, Gayyom says he will build thousand and four hundred per year! Now isn’t that worth praise? Not only that, he would build a bridge that connects Male’ and Hulhumale’, ye! How cool is that! It’s alright to let the rest of Maldives be in the 18th century, just let the high populated area (Male’, Hulhumale’) be up to standards yah? Everything impossible thing he will make it happen! No need to talk about the past, no need to bother about the fact that it took many years to build even 50 flats at Hulhumale’. Just listen to his promises.

How sweet will it be, to live in such happiness the man is showing us: dream lands, dream houses, dream bridges, dream safety and security, dream education, dream development? No, they would not be dreams; they will be made into a reality. Just vote him, elect him for another five year term, every thing that he was unable to accomplish in the past thirty years, will be completed within the next five years! Why? Because he is educated, he has experience and knowledge. Just ignore the fact that his government is sluggish, and is devoted to wasting the peoples budget. Just ignore the fact that his government for the past thirty years did everything in a particular groups benefit, but not for the benefit of ordinary citizens. It doesn’t matter, because he will be taking us to new heights!

Yah, new heights! Maybe there will be marijuana farms, and schools to educate burglars into professionalism. Maybe adultery and raping will be seen at road corners at daylight. Ah! And who knows, new heights, how about same sex marriage legally allowed? Oh, and please, build the churches for the tourists, should not we share the new height with the tourists that visit Maldives?
