Every now and then, people like Dr.Afraasheem are seen on television or elsewhere preaching the word of God. But listening to them preaching makes me believe that they have a hidden agenda behind their preaching’s. Perhaps they are preaching in order to save someone or a particular group of people from criticism. What ever the agenda or secret behind it, what we need is people who are different from Dr.Afraasheem and the like. People who would try to educate Maldivians rather then trying to deceive the already deceived people! How many of us spend several hours a day arguing about little things that does not even matter because of such deceivers! How many of us create havoc and commit crimes because of the so called scholars!
These people are slowly creating a disaster! Sooner than later or perhaps even now we might be witnessing unimaginable chaos spreading across the nation. It would be lucky if we do not start slaughtering each other in the name of God! I wonder what good has the ‘Islam we practice’ brought to Maldives? There was a force that held Maldivians together. There was respect between each other. But the so called scholars have ruined it all. They have brought separation to this tiny country. And the danger and fear behind such separations’ are much higher then introducing a secular system. We need scholars who would open the minds of people rather then fix their minds in a certain way; we need scholars who would not answer ‘it is Gods will’ to every question asked. We need scholars who would base their speaking upon facts and findings.

If you “need scholars who would base their speaking upon facts and findings” then what you need are scientists, not religious scholars. Ultimately, in religion, everything IS God’s will so how can you expect them to give you facts and findings?

so we follow our creator with full submission n it brings us the tranquility that u will never feel unless n until u follow islam.
