It's true that you may not need to go to a university for education. But the fact of the matter is Gasim is uneducated in any sense. The kind of knowledge we want from a president includes not only the ability to comprehend reason. We also want knowledge to think independently for oneself. I highly doubt Gasim has enough analytical abilities to think for himself. He always need someone else. Worse, he listens to others when he wants. Result? He gave a deaf ear to Jihad on numerous occasions. He doesn't know the basics of finance (e.g. our budget), he doesn't know or believe in the basics of the kind of politics we are looking for (e.g. his personal marital life which shows his lack of respect for women), he does not know the basics of international relations. People (not DRP) who have worked with him in the government testify that Gasim is a total embarrassment. He is too ignorant. And he is too rash. Sorry.

But, let's grant he has good experience. But is that all? How about his business interests? Too much power in one hand is not good. Power is not only administrative power. He already has too much social power: his media, his sponsored NGOs, his sponsored political parties, his sponsored politicians, and so on. No single citizen in the country can influence politics as can Gasim. Meaning he can unfairly affect the political process. In the end, we might not find any benefit of, say, the so-called separation of powers, because he could easily set agenda and take decisions in other state complexes. Also, already, the man, in his private, is effectively a dictator for a large segment of the population.

His philanthropy is not a really well carried out one. It is just like the government 'welfare budget'. People have to stoop into undignified lows to get aid from him. It is not systematic, it is random, and too personal. I'm here ignoring all the talk about how and why he really 'helps' others! And, just because Gasim may be a philanthropist it does not mean we have to grant him presidency as a gift in return.

And, how about the available options for president? Are there more capable people? How about Anni? Dr Saeed? Ibra? Umar Naseer?

I highly doubt he is the best candidate. I think he is one of the worst out there.
